Susie Yankou is a Toronto-born, LA-based writer/director/producer. She is the founder of Good Pop Films, her production banner specializing in queer, comedic stories that balance her irreverent, referential humour with an undeniable sense of heart. Her debut feature, SISTERS, world premiered at Inside Out 2SLGBTQ+ Film Festival, the largest queer film festival in Canada, where it earned the Audience Award for Best Narrative Feature. The film had its US premiere at Austin Film Festival and will continue its festival run throughout 2025.

Yankou developed a teen comedy with Emma Roberts’ Belletrist TV alongside showrunner Marlene King (PRETTY LITTLE LIARS), which later sold to Netflix. She previously wrote and starred in her web series 101 WAYS TO GET REJECTED, which was then developed for TV for Moonshot Entertainment with EP Bryan Cranston.

In addition to her film & TV projects, she has produced and directed short-form projects, spanning from music videos to branded content. She is an alumni of USC’s Writing for the Screen & Television program.
